Gay Pride 2012 México City

Well over million people come out in support of Mexico City Gay Pride (known in Mexico as Marcha del Orgullo Lésbico, Gay, Bisexual, Tansgénero, Travesti, Transexual e Intersexual), wich takes place over several days in early June... The date of the parade this year is June 2, 2012, which is several weeks earlier than in previous years. Mexico's high-altitude capital city has a huge and active gay population. The increasingly popular Mexico City Gay Pride, however, is helping to heighten the LGBT community's visibility.

The spirit of PRIDE hass been building in size and importance to the vital role it serves on behalf of legal equality and social acceptance for all members of the human race. Now is the time for the entire LGBT family to rise against persecution, discrimination and oppression

There is so much we can accomplish through this action of peaceful protest to remember those who are no longer with us, or cannot be here today, to celebrate those that fought for pride and the freedoms we now enjoy and to think of those who cannot celebrate pride and remain oppressed. There are people who have sacrificed their lives in service of the Pride Movement and there so much more to be accomplished.
